We are family physicians serving south Riverside county with the highest quality of care. Rancho’s goal is to approach medicine differently by offering more cohesive care and education that extends beyond the four walls of the exam room. We do not just make suggestions and write prescriptions, we have taken steps to improve the health of our patients. Our family physicians have developed educational content that empowers their community to make healthy lifestyle changes.  We also have free senior centers for our patients 65 and older that are full of exercise and nutrition classes as well as full online courses teaching a wide variety of health topics. We pride ourselves on going beyond the exam room to make our community healthier and happier.

Medical Scribe

Job Type: Full-time
Locations: Multiple

RFMG is seeking dedicated and reliable Medical Scribes to become a part of our clinical teams in the cities of Temecula, Sun City, Menifee, and Hemet. Medical Scribes are to support the care of the patients, which is led by the healthcare provider. Support includes accurately scribing for providers, completing paperwork, communicating with fellow support staff members, and other tasks which leads to the improvement of the patients’ health.

  • Carefully listen to and transcribes patient visits for providers.
  • Maintains records and assists with clinical paperwork (i.e. refills, orders, forms, referrals, etc).
  • Maintaining and monitoring HCCs.
  • Helps clean and maintain workstation and exam rooms.
  • Places orders and completes inbox items at the direction of the healthcare provider.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
  • Must have computer skills necessary to navigate the company’s EMR system.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to learn and code for Hierarchical Condition Categories.
  • Ability to record observations and notes completely, accurately, literately, and concisely.
  • Understand HCCs and Medicare.

 

We prefer applicants who are college graduates and are willing to devote a year while studying or preparing for graduate school in the medical field. The position is paid, and while experience helps in the selection processes, it is not required. An applicant for this position should be looking to complete higher education (i.e. medical degree) within the medical field. It is an ideal paid internship for those aspiring for a career in the medical career.

Medical Assistants

Job Type: Full-time
Locations: Multiple

RFMG is seeking dedicated and reliable Medical Assistants to become a part of our clinical teams in the cities of Temecula, Sun City, Menifee, and Hemet. You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support the care of the patients, which is led by the healthcare provider. Support includes performing clinical tasks, completing paperwork, communicating with the patient, and all other tasks which leads to the improvement of the patients’ health.

  • Takes vital signs and measurements (i.e., height/length and weight, blood pressure, etc.).
  • Performs screening tests (i.e., eye exams, electrocardiograms, O2, etc). for which he or she has been prepared by education and experience.
  • Prepares, administers, and records immunizations and drugs as agency policies permit.
  • Assembles materials and equipment in preparation for clinic sessions and maintains adequate supplies.
  • Assists with and provides support during procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant certificate program or meets State training criteria by way of physician training.
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to perform medical assistant duties for which the medical assistants’ course has provided the necessary degree of skill and judgment; performance shall be limited to those acts for which he or she has been prepared.
  • Knowledge of accepted procedures for disposing of used supplies.
  • Computer skills necessary to navigate the company’s EMR system.
  • Ability to observe the general physical condition of patients to detect signs of abnormalities.

Registration Coordinator

Job Type: Full-time
Locations: Multiple

The Registration Coordinator is responsible for moving patients through a pre-determined schedule of appointments. This process includes greeting, insurance verification, paperwork completion, and addressing any questions posed by patients. Registration should help ensure the check-in/out of patients is as pleasant an experience as possible. This job description does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed. He or she may be required to follow any other instructions and to perform other duties requested by his or her supervisor based on the needs of the organization. 

  • Warmly welcome patients and visitors to the office by greeting and acknowledging them upon entrance.
  • Consistently and accurately verify the patient’s insurance information.
  • Updates and/or verifies all demographics and necessary paperwork before a patient is seen. 
  • Assists patients with any necessary paperwork and answers any questions that arise.
  • Endeavors to keep patients on schedule and communicates with the back-office regarding delays. 
  • Assists ill or distraught patients as necessary. 
  • Troubleshoots problems or requests of patients. 
  • Processes patient payments correctly via either credit card or by cash. 
  • Capable of making change and balancing a register-drawer daily. 
  • Maintains reception area and waiting room area in a neat and orderly condition. 
  • Work cooperatively with others, including appropriate communication with patients, providers, support staff and administration. 
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures found in the employee handbook.

Appointment Coordinator

The Appointment Coordinator is responsible for booking patients’ visits. This process includes greeting, identifying the needs of the patient and scheduling an appropriate visit. The Coordinator should help ensure the booking of an appointment is as pleasant an experience as possible. This job description does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed. He or she may be required to follow any other instructions and to perform other duties requested by his or her supervisor based on the needs of the organization. 

  • Greets patients with a warm salutation and ends conversation with congenial closing. 
  • Consistently and accurately collects the patient’s personal and insurance information, including any necessary updates.
  • Assists patients by answering any questions that may arise.
  • Determines the ideal placement of an appointment by weighing the needs of the patient and the preference of the healthcare provider.
  • Assists with other tasks delegated by a Lead or Manager when not answering calls.
  • Work cooperatively with others, including appropriate communication with patients, providers, support staff and administration.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures found in the employee handbook.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by lead or manager.
