Dr. Combs Bio
Dr. Matthew Combs received his bachelor’s degree in Biology at Westmont College and graduated Medical School at Loma Linda University. He then went on to complete his Family Medicine Residency at Ventura County Hospital.
Dr. Matt has special interest in sports medicine and is on our team of hospitalists. Dr. Matt is also big on preventative medicine. He enjoys having the patient be an active participant in their healthcare where he can come alongside and equip them with knowledge so that they can come up with a plan together.
On a day off, Dr. Matt enjoys physical activity and the great outdoors!

An APP (Advanced Practice Practitioner) is either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. While doctors and APP’s differ in their education level, APP’s can diagnose, treat and coordinate care as a regular Primary Care Physician would.
Our doctors currently accept all insurance plans that our medical group, Regal accepts. However, as physicians’ patient panels become increasingly impacted, some physicians will only accept new Medicare Advantage patients only.
As a patient of Rancho Family, you’re welcome to see any provider within the group. All your medical records and chart notes are available to whichever provider you choose to schedule with, so if your doctor is unavailable, don’t worry! Our providers are here to make your care as cohesive as possible.
Becoming a new patient is easy! If you are 65+ and need help, please call our Patient Relations team at 951-225-6808. If you are not a senior or not on Medicare, you can call the office directly at 951-676-4193.
