Georgiana "Anna" Miller, DO -(What is a DO?)
Dr. Miller graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. degree in
Biology in 1997. She worked in the biotech industry for several years performing bacterial
transformations, PCR, site-directed mutagenesis and DNA sequencing.
She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University
of Medicine and Biosciences in 2004 under a Health Professional Scholarship Program through the US
Navy.
She completed her Family Medicine Residency program at the Naval Hospital in
Jacksonville, Florida.
In 2008, she became a full scope staff physician at Naval Hospital Twentynine
Palms caring for active duty Marines, retirees and their families. She was deployed to Djibouti,
Africa from September 2010 until March 2011 working as the Emergency Medicine provider at that
facility.
She volunteered at a local school every Saturday while deployed and supervised a
wound care clinic for Djiboutian children and adults. She also volunteered at a children’s
orphanage nurturing, feeding, changing diapers and playing games with the older children.
She received special training in the placement intradermal birth control
(Implanon). She does many outpatient surgical procedures including vasectomies, circumcisions,
various minor dermatological procedures.
She provides medical care for people of all ages, from newborns to
geriatrics.
